On the weekends, I usually dress for a proper workout, go to the gym, then head out for errands, or go for a walk across the city, then have lunch somewhere in the Marina and take Muni back home. Although this quick and simple weekend wardrobe is no brainer, sometimes it would be nice to simply dress up – like these favorite picks of mine:

Sometimes it’s okay if we have no idea where an outfit is purchased from – as long as we can create the same style with our own take. That’s my rule anyway 🙂 With that said, I am loving these and these wonderful styles I plan to add my own twist to:
I was at the hair salon yesterday, and while getting a trim and color touch up, I couldn’t help but stare at one talented hair stylist, who not only dressed fashionably, but also very creatively added just the right tones and trim to her client’s hair that I just sat there and stared at her the entire two hours I was in the salon. Which got me inspired to search online for her fashion sense, and figure out how a gal like me could pull these off in a city as cold as San Francisco during the summer months.
Interesting how the internet knows exactly the sort of articles to push my way, when I plan a trip abroad. But as we know it, it does happen to the best of us – in this case, since choosing my hotel in Paris, the article about How to Dress Like a French Woman popped up. And of course, I clicked on it 🙂 like a good American girl, aspiring to be all things Parisian. And I realize after reading the article, I am more French than I could have ever imagined. Less Is More… No saying could be truer when it comes to Parisian dressing. Focus on interesting shapes and textures (preferably in muted colors) and you’ll be fine—a stop at COS and & Other Stories is a must if you want to pick up a few tips about young and cool Parisian dressing. Stay away from too many embellishments and short dresses—basically anything that can be perceived as tacky. Black is the in color – Thank you Chanel It might seem boring, but French …
