Ever since I could remember I’ve had an advent calendar in our home, and so each year, I choose carefully the one to buy. So naturally I made a list, just in case this Christmas product is a must have in your household: {featured image – west elm village advent calendar}
There is one more move I intend to make before settling down for good and once I find the right place to call home, I hope to adapt some of these wonderful decor or design ideas:
I am a huge fan of what we refer to in the states, back splash for the kitchen walls in between the counter and the upper cabinets. I’m not sure when the trend all started, but it is a design wonder I appreciate. Actually, I’ve been seeing more and more homes in San Francisco proper warming up to this color – and I have to say – I’m starting to like it as I plan out colors to paint our home in the city – kind of like these:
We’ve been procrastinating on the idea of replacing our roof and with that of course refreshing the paint or the look of the exterior. Although the wait list for a roof replacement is a mile or two long and the cost – very out of to control in comparison to other places around the country, it needs to be done. We know we are getting ripped off, but what can you do. The price one has to pay for living in such an expensive city. Anyway, while we wait out our turn – it looks like early March or late March – who knows anymore, I am already doing research on the rest of the exterior decor with minor design updates. Besides being extremely clean, the shower should ideally be an inviting space – where one can simply exist for just a few minutes as if there isn’t a care in the world. My favorite experience under the best shower was in Bern Switzerland, in a five-star property – where the emphasis of the entire bathroom was the walk in for five 🙂 shower with dimming lights, a state of the art shower head, and side streamers, and other bells and whistles – I still think about it. I realized there is a theme happening today – with all things Spain. First my favorite Cotton Hotel with its elegance and grandeur and now this property in Texas housing a Spanish inspired decor, from which I can steal a few ideas:
Bathrooms and hallways, and kitchens are the best places for black and white decor – but the for the sake of this article, we are only sharing a handful of black and white bathrooms – which by the way was a theme in my home for over five years – a black and white bathroom master bathroom: Although, if you think outside the box, you can consider the variations – say…in your kitchen as well. 🙂
