One of my favorite things to do, on Saturday mornings, is to walk my dog through predominant neighborhoods in San Francisco and imagine how it would be to own one of those properties. In light of that fact, I often am inspired by the decor associated with luxury living. Here are some of my recent favorites.
Ever since I’ve been on the kick to redecorate my studio apartment, I have fallen in love with everything available to make my dwelling my very own work of art. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to decorate, revamp, recharge, redo and since I finally got my very own kitchen, I am slowly piecing the place together to make it a permanent home for a while. Areal rugs are a must in my opinion, it not only ties in your room’s decor, but also feels good against, well in this case, my feet. Here are some of my favorites to ponder over while I decide on re-arranging the space.
Here is the thing about white kitchens, no matter how the space decor and design evolves, this style never dulls. Of course, the fact, it’s a reminder of French country design is also a plus.
I got online to shop for a cocktail dress, which I need for a company party I am hosting at the end of the month but instead got pleasantly sidetracked by pillows from here. And just in case you’re wondering why the candle is there, I fell in love with that as well and felt all of my selections complimented one another perfectly. Oh and about the dress, well I’ll leave the weekend for that. 🙂 Have an amazing weekend everyone. Over the weekend I walked into Ikea in search of a new kitchen design to build outside of my now permanent studio home. While I often times dream of white kitchens, I couldn’t help but fall inlove with some not typically my style, making it difficult to choose from. I can tell this is going to be a long drawn out process 🙂
I can’t help but, like everyone else, notice everything Christmas, everywhere I go and during this time of year, it’s really difficult to think about anything else. 🙂
Although most kitchen remodel today suggest modern and clinical, I tend to lean towards French country inspired suggestions while searching for new ideas. There is something to be said about white cabinetry and subway tiles. A bold chandelier, a touch of color. A slab of marble or distressed counter tops and a dark wood center island perfectly ensembled in a brightly lit area of a home.
