Afternoon tea in London – On My Bucket List

Sure, I’ve done tea in the countryside in England, but never one in London. Not sure why that is, but I bet it’s the need to run around and see every tourist sight in the two-day stay I normally schedule for this fair city. Anyway, next Spring I will be going to just outside London to visit with a friend and I have already told her to pencil us in for a few tea rooms from this list:

I felt the chill of Autumn this morning – after leaving my window wide open overnight – since the 70 degree temps from the evening before. Something we experience here in San Francisco in October. Even though it was cold, it felt wonderful to breathe in the clean early morning air, and opening my eyes to the moon glistening over the Pacific. Yes I am on a French kick today for sure.  This morning I was craving something sweet, and as always the internet knows exactly what I am thinking because there is this recipe I found which will certainly satisfy the sweet cravings: Ingredients 1 cup apple cider 1 stick butter 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 cinnamon stick 1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt 3-4 eggs Chai Glaze 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ginger 1/4 teaspoon all-spice 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1 cup powdered sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

I love cake. Not necessarily to eat, but rather to simply admire the decor. 🙂 Weird? Maybe. But since five I’ve always stopped and stared through the window of a bakery at the cakes on display – admiring the creative artist behind them all. I even walked a television series about cakes. Best is an opinion, because some of the best of foods I’ve had in Paris are not even on these lists. But then again, you may disagree or agree. Interesting Finds Online – Vol 6

I’ve sort of lagged off on this topic for the sake of other variations of putting all similar topics into one entry  rather than a mix-match of topics. But then I realized since our brains are now programmed to wander off here and there clicking on links to read this and that, I should revisit my interesting finds online.
