Travel: A Week To Relax by Poolside and Some European Football

Lots was going on last week. I was on vacation, and I mean vacation. The vegging out, not doing much of anything except laying by the pool and well, eating and drinking, and of course working out. It was the best week I’ve had in a long while, and wished I could extend my stay for a month, believe it or not down south, at a resort type hotel. The thing I like about relaxing vacations is that it gives me time to think about the  direction I intend to go or follow in the upcoming months. Whether it be for the blog, or the next novel or even regarding my trip to Europe in a few months. The fact I lounge around, and I am away from the normal stress, I can focus on the creative side of me and my hectic life. So, with that said I am excited to report, there will be changes coming your way with my blog of course, and the outline for the fourth novel has been created. …

Boutique Hotel Pick – 1 Hotel – New York

In San Francisco most buildings or hotels being renovated are considering going the eco-friendly route, and I do appreciate the concept of it because I am an advocate of green. So it was nice to see this article about the CEO of Starwood Hotels taking measures to recreate the company owned properties focused on sustainability and going all the way green. In light of one of my favorite topics, I have selected 1Hotel as my boutique hotel pick .  This is where I will be staying during my trip to New York in a few months hopefully if they aren’t book by the time I lock down the dates.

Travel: Things To Know While Planning A Trip to Europe

Travel planning has officially begun for those seeking a pre-high season deals to somewhere – in particular to Europe. My favorite destination. Normally, I wing my trips, rather than stick to a set schedule. Unless of course I plan to see or experience something seasonal. Hope I didn’t lose you. Anyway, here are some interesting tidbits to consider if you are planning a trip to Europe.

Travel: San Francisco Day Trip and Photo Op.

The wine country is a place I can visit once a month. It’s a great day trip escape from a bustling city like San Francisco. On Sunday, the weather was unusually hot and a little muggy, so we decided to take our typical day trip: We parked on the Main Street in Sausalito to have breakfast, and I had to take these unusually wicked photographs. And I snapped more photos than I could imagine, wishing I could forego the rest of the plans and simply run through the fields. Why is it – fields of flowers bring out the kid in all of us. We had a picnic in V. Satui winery as we always do, napped under the trees, and then headed back home.   Can you blame a girl 🙂

Travel: All About Italy

I have settled on a trip to Italy late September, early October this year, as my annual destination in Europe. And, although I have been to the country every year for the past decade or so, I cannot get enough of it. Alternating cities every year or not, making the trip always memorable. So here is what I am thinking:  Venice, Verona, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Positano, Capri with a few Tuscan cities in between.  I haven’t done this combination nor been to the southern Italy for a while, so I am excited. Of course research is always fun, and I have found some interesting articles to keep the momentum, and set the mood. {featured  image credit }

Travel: Flora and Fauna

Thankfully, it’s been raining, in San Francisco. Finally everything is turning green and lush, and coming back to life. I can’t wait for spring this year, as the flowers will bloom perfectly, and the parks will be  pure delight to walk through. But all of this got me thinking about flora and fauna and so the search began online for the most interesting finds a about this topic:

Travel: America in 2016

This year I am adding a multi-stop trip around the U.S. to see places I’ve never been before in addition to some I have many years ago. And although I haven’t decided which month to embark on this two week journey, I have decided on the added destinations:   {Source}

Holiday Gift Ideas: Romantic Ski Weekend Package USA

More than any material gift, I prefer a good weekend getaway, a romantic one if I can make it happen. Although simply being tucked under a blanket in front of a fireplace, with views of white powder from every window in a cabin is romantic enough, with or without someone by your side. With someone is always best 🙂 If you happen to be like me, where traveling is your idea of the perfect gift, then consider , this, or this, or this,  or this for that special someone in your life.

We Need A Festival of Lights Everywhere and mostly in San Francisco

Feeling the need for visual therapy this morning, after scrolling through article after article about the Paris attacks and what we should and shouldn’t do. The idea of it all mentally draining, when thinking about it in dept. I decided I needed some lights, or fireworks or anything to do with happy thoughts to ease some of the anxiety starting to build up about the word around us.  The Berlin Festival of Lights which happened in October came to mind, admiring many of the Instagram photos and not saved online for our viewing pleasure.

Travel: The World and If Not Then Italy

Year in and year out, I do my best not to include Italy in my annual trip to Europe because I think I’ve seen it all. But I fail miserably, finding a new tiny village to see, recreating a travel plan including this fascinating country. With that said, I have included some of my favorite articles from around the world, in travel that is. {click here for The American}
