boutique hotel pick – the bonham – edinburgh, scotland

Spring break going forward into Summer vacations is right around the corner and I’ve decided since I am still on a high from my trip abroad, to bring back my boutique hotel pick blog entry for those who enjoy traveling like I do. Here’s a hotel in Edinburgh, I stumbled upon while touring the city, located in New Town – a district a hop skip away from the main center of the town, a place I decided to stay as well. I found hotels in Edinburgh charming to say the least and full of modern amenities and friendly staff, making staying in the city most ideal. for The Bonham, is one of those properties, with cheerful decor, incorporating the old with the new.

travel journal: stay tuned

I am excited as always to have the opportunity to travel. So, I ask that you stay tuned, throughout the next two weeks, as I come to you via blog – detailing my travels, hopefully getting up the nerve to start up the Instagram site, I’ve been dying to and of course wishing I was on a PAN AM flight from eons ago 🙂 {photo credits click here, here and here}

mini vacation: vegas bound

I was so busy running around this past weekend, I forgot to blog and this morning, being Monday, I flew to Las Vegas to spend a couple of days celebrating my birthday and enjoying the company of a few extended family members. So, hang tight and stay tuned, I will bring you my version of Vegas shortly :).  After of course, I’ve had a chance to check in, refresh and venture out of my hotel.

five months of 2013 – goodbye may, hello june

I swear I was just toasting in 2013 and now all of a sudden it’s June. What in the world is going on? Has it always been like this. Where time flies, no matter if you are having fun or not. May was a busy month for me and one, although long, felt like it passed by in a flash.  I’m okay with that, because May really isn’t my favorite month of the year, June is :). Instead of looking back to what I have accomplished  in the month of May, I am going to, through photos, express what lays ahead for me in June:  Looking forward has always been my motto. 1. multitasking inside my head

I don’t need to remind anyone, that women multi-task on a second to second basis. While sitting at their desks at work, shuffling paper, their multitasking inside their heads. From what to make for dinner, to coordinating how the week would unfold. Children, homework, housework, husbands, get togethers, doctor’s appointments, grocery list, project deadlines, laundry, meetings, telephone calls and even vacation planning. So, for this week, these are the thoughts going through my head:

boutique hotel pick – baccara resort and spa – santa barbara california

I woke up this morning with a sudden need to travel somewhere, even if only for the weekend. I guess it’s that time of the year again, when I get the travel bug and no matter what I shift my focus on, I remain distracted until I finally organize a holiday getaway of some sort. Baccara Resort and Spa is a place I’ve been to, twice. Once for a wedding and the other, just to run away. I had forgotten about the destination until I scanned my memory for quick get-away places from San Francisco and lucky for me, I remembered. The hotel is sprawled on the sandy beaches of the Pacific Ocean, in the middle of California, very close to the town of Santa Barbara and offers some of the most prestiges   resort and spa amenities one would need to get their bearings back.

inspired by nostalgia

Photographs are probably the most inspirational medium known to mankind to and often times a great way to reflect, reminisce and remind. With that said, occasionally, I find photographs online, which touch me to a point; I have to share them with anyone who understands where I am coming from.    Pictures do tell a thousand words and here are mine.
