Hobbies to Consider – SkillShare

I am always looking for a new hobby – to add to the ones that have become more of a habit of late and even a routine. So I figured if I consider a few courses in this and that, I can tap into a skill that’s been gone untapped. Or maybe even learn something new. Here’s what’s trending on Skillshare:

Travel: If Architecture Is Your Thing

I don’t know about you, but when I travel, I spend a lot of time looking up, to all the structures making up a city, a town, or a village. So naturally this article about 20 best cities for architectural lovers stuck the perfect cord on this chilly Sunday morning while I sip on green tea and scroll the madness of the internet. And for your viewing pleasure I am going to simply list the least expected destinations or beg forgiveness for my ignorance just in case the places I list are more well know than I assumed:

The Art of Crafting

My favorite of all is actually Football season in October. Because while my household enjoys sitting around in the family room, watching game after game the entire day on Sunday, I cuddle with my dog on the bed, plug-in my music and begin drafting up my plans for crafting something for the holidays to giveaway right here on RS&S, and even for gift exchange at work and among friends. Surprising the person getting the gift from me: Here are my favorite ideas for this year’s crafting projects from my favorite station store – Paper Source:

Photographs That Speak Volumes

Over the weekend, I hit a wall – in terms of writing and blogging. I was in Sausalito on Saturday, just enjoying the Indian Summer, and all of sudden, I realized I had nothing to talk about. I know this happens to most people striving to be creative.  Then I went home that night and watched 3 classic films and suddenly, I came to. More about that later. But for now let your imagine wander with these photos that speak volumes. {source from here, and here}

Architecture: The World’s 20 Best Loved styles

It’s sort of difficult to say really what cities architectures truly admire, or appreciate because, based on my travels, I consider every city or town I’ve been to most appreciated – in terms of architecture. But I get it, there is a certain standard or identity to styles which over the years have become most admired and made it to this list. Here are some of my favorites:
