There are days you simply need to stare at pretty things: {photo source – here, here, here}
I’ve been thinking about a weekend trip to my favorite place on earth – Disneyland – and just disappearing in fantasy-land (no punt intended). And while I was looking into a package, you know air/hotel/entrance tickets, I came across this interesting site which details ‘The Best Secret Menu Items at Disneyland“. I’m on it: {source for featured image}
As I’ve mentioned before I was a travel agent at one point in my life, and I have to say that was one of my favorite jobs – you know – making people feel good by traveling. Out company, although mostly for student travel, we also offered up adventure travel – past the typical tours, we specialized in booking folks on adventures of all types – and each time we sent someone off on one of those speciality adventures, they came back raving, and wanting to book more. In line with this topic, I have found a pretty good site for those interested in soft adventure, or one that is rigorous, for families or without, groups or thrill seekers. Check out what I mean:
With a ton of movies, I am not even talking about the indie films, in queue for release in 2017, I am curious to learn what makes you go see a film? {photo source here and here}
On the weekends, I usually dress for a proper workout, go to the gym, then head out for errands, or go for a walk across the city, then have lunch somewhere in the Marina and take Muni back home. Although this quick and simple weekend wardrobe is no brainer, sometimes it would be nice to simply dress up – like these favorite picks of mine:
I don’t think I need to say more than the fact, I want to disappear right here for a month or two, writing my next novel…
As I’ve mentioned before, it’s been a struggle for me the past couple of months – trying to rationalize the changes in my life I never imagined possible. While I am doing my best to cope and mend, I decided Raw Silk and Saffron may not be the best place to pour out my feelings or emotions or whatever we go through when our hearts are broken. So, I am going to keep Raw Silk and Saffron all about the fun side of things and offer up this site which I’ve kept private until now, for all the other real-life topics in the raw, not sugar-coated, not diplomatic, just the real life facts and truth about – life, love marriage and family. Hope to see you there. And if not, than glad you are here.
I had to give this topic the front page today, as I am always dreaming of a place to move when I retire or….just maybe sooner. This list offers up the courage to make such a leap:
The other day I had lunch at Yumma’s on Irving Street, and after ordering our falafel wraps, my friend suggested we sit outside in their patio – which I had no idea they had. (I hadn’t eaten there for years). But it got me thinking about all of the wonderful tourists heading to this fair city which I call home, and so I decided to add a list from here and there of some of the best patio seating in San Francisco: 4505 Burgers & BBQ (705 Divisadero St.) The patio at 4505 Burgers & BBQ may seem a little unconventional (it’s a converted parking lot), but that’s what gives it San Francisco charm. If the patio alone won’t get you there, then the mouthwatering burgers and ribs should. All Good Pizza (1605 Jerrod Ave) A pizza truck turned brick oven is doling out delicious pies in a parking lot in the Bayview that’s making people line up. Enjoy them at the covered picnic benches. Arlequin Cafe (384 Hayes St.) Walk into Arlequin’s back patio and …
