I feel like I’ve been away forever, but some things had to fall through the crack, namely my blog, and workout, while I worked through my fullest of plates of late. First and foremost, the living space revamp that’s tortured me to no end, forcing me to rethink the plan, hence delaying the timeframe – so HGTV like.
Here’s how it all went down. I planned to install hardwood floors. I dreamt about it for years, talked about it endlessly, shopped various flooring stores, picked out the best option, signed up for the measure only to find out, the space required too much sub-flooring prep work to consider the hardwood. Back to square one, we went shopping for wall-to-wall carpeting, something I’ve always hated, but apparently have no choice in the particular part of the city I live in, with the damp and mold issues. I shopped until the cow’s came home online and in the stores, and I have to tell you I have learned enough carpets and flooring that I could actually become a flooring consultant. We choose an eco-friendly and hypoallergenic fiber, or shall I say recycled materials to combat the damdness and all of the allergy issues my doggy and hubs experience on a daily basis.
Don’t get me started on the paint color changes, twice. Once in the bathroom, and the other in the living space. The only thing that came easy was the bookshelf, I stripped off the old varnish and painted all white – to this day considering if I should add wallpaper like this one? The reveal will be – as soon as the flooring and decor are all in place.
Vacation is the other thing that’s got me all riled up. At the beginning of the year, two of our friends wanted to tag along on our vacation. I was hesitant at first, but after talking it over with my hubs, we decided to let them come along. Only to discover after all the planning in the past five months or so, one isn’t going to go. The other was on the fence for a while, then she backed out, then back on, then backed out, and now only a month away from our flight, we are still in the planning stages. Something I normally take care of six months ahead and stick to my schedule. Lesson learned, unless it’s a weekend getaway to Napa, or some camping trip for a day or so, no more saying yes to friends on long-haul trips. Because at this moment the trip is looking like this:
{in case you don’t get it, we are all over the place, trying to make it work, since our flights are in and out of places we were only going to go for our friends}
And then there is my day job with many changes and adjustments taking shape, which is making me think about my future in general – the five year, and ten year plan. {That’s me bundled up – yup on a San Francisco summer’s day when its freezing cold along the coast}

So, here’s hoping for all things to work out, and to me looking forward to brighter days…
Thanks for hanging around. I appreciate your company, or support or your LIKE clicks 🙂
