Although no particular gown stood out at the Oscar 2011 red carpet last night, I must point out the fact how disappointed I am with some of the celebrity women over 40 and their choice in gown and overall appearance for such an elegant event. See for yourself.

Cate Blanchett–the absolute worst! But I can’t believe you’ve got Nicole Kidman up first, or at all. I loved her dress and thought she looked gorgeous. My other fave was Halle Berry.Not over 40, tho. Why the age category?
The blog is related to women over 40 and so I am trying to keep the theme. Halle Berry looked good I agree and she is over 40 and looks amazing. Kidman’s gown wasn’t her best this time around
Helena Bonham Carter looks like she wore one of her leftover costumes from Sweeney Todd. What is that? It’s the only one that keeps Kate Blanchett’s dress from being the worst. Maybe. Boy, that’s a toss up.
