I’ve eaten hummus way longer than it has become a trend here in the US. I love how my mother made it, boiling fresh garbanzo beans and all natural ingredients. She would toast the pita bread, and let my brother and I eat the delicacy as an afternoon snack.
Fast forward to today, I have no time for hummus-from-scratch. So I normally buy ready-made from different healthy food stores and try them all. Not too many have come close to anything like the one my mother made/makes.
